Excellence in Rural Development Achievement is open to all new or expanding businesses based in rural areas and involved in non-farming activities. This category serves to recognise the diverse rural economy sector in the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area. (Examples of businesses include: manufacturing, light engineering, childcare and rural tourism, etc.)
To enter this award, the organisation should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following performance criteria:
This is a written submission award. Please download, complete and return the official application form no later than 5pm Friday 12th February 2016.
Stage 1 of the judging process will be to shortlist submissions based on the criteria above. If an applicant is shortlisted for Stage 2, they will be invited to attend a short interview/presentation with the judging panel followed by Q&A. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by Wednesday 17th February 2016. The panel will then rank the shortlist based on the interview. Please note that if an applicant is shortlisted for stage 2 of the judging process, they must be able to attend a 10 minute interview/presentation on Wednesday 24th or Thursday 25th February 2016 at the Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn.
